TV News clown Jake Tapper had a somewhat interesting article on the planned Israeli attack on Iran. The somewhat interesting part was the suggestion by Zbigniew Brzezinski that the US should shoot down Israeli planes if they crossed Iraqi airspace on the way to Iran.
The bullshit part of Tapper's article was the tangential comment that “The USS Liberty was a U.S. Navy technical research ship that the Israeli Air Force mistakenly attacked during the Six Day War in 1967.”
Of course, anyone who's spent any time researching this event; or better, anyone who's read Assault on the Liberty knows that the attack was 100% intentional. There was no mistake about it.
Less serious, but also laughable, is Tapper's description of the Liberty as a “technical research ship.” In reality, the ship was operated by the Navy on behalf of the NSA, the National Security Agency. Yes, the same folks who listen to all of our phone calls.
Fortunately, a number of Tapper's blog comments quickly called him on his Zionist bullshit.
